WITH features including the best in protection, speed of installation and ease of application, can you afford not to TREMCO?

TREMCO’s heritage in creating innovative flooring solutions – from its position as the founders of damp proof membranes, through to present day initiatives such as the introduction of advanced technology smoothing compounds – puts innovation at the core of its product range and services.

Providing UK contractors and the distribution market, specifiers and architects with fully compatible systems, TREMCO prides itself on remaining innovative and ecological.

For the flooring sector, systems available include damp proof membranes, smoothing compounds, and adhesives.

Geared-up for a wide-range of requirements, they have all been created to meet the modern demands placed on refurbishment and new build projects.
These exceptional products come with the reassurance of best-in-class technical ability, coupled with dedicated on-site support provision, all are of which are the hallmarks of the brand.

Damp-proof membranes
As the original founders of damp proof membranes, TREMCO’s heritage is unparalleled. Modern advances see it pride itself today on its extensive range, built on years of experience, which is renowned for its quality and affordability.

Products include ES100 One Coat Universal DPM, ES200 Fast Curing Universal DPM and ES300 Surface DPM.

For larger projects, ES400 Bulk DPM can be called upon to deliver, while ES500 Sheet Membrane and ES600 Moisture Vapour Suppressant complete the line-up.

Smoothing Compounds
Offering a range of water mixed and two part two-part latex underlayments, TREMCO can provide the right product for every application when it comes to smoothing compounds.

The range is designed to save flooring contractors valuable time and money, with competitive walk-on and drying times.
Two-part latex underlayments, in general purpose, high performance, and damp tolerant grades, are all available, as well as water mixed underlayments, which can be hand or pump applied for heavy duty applications.

Repair compounds, comprising of a selection of patch repair and feather edge compounds for specialist applicators, are also available, as well as specialist floor screeds, which offer a fibre filled pumpable formulation for flexing subfloor or difficult substrates.

Adhesives
TREMCO’s wide range of adhesives allow for the application of all floorcoverings, across a variety of areas.
They offer a solution for the most complex installations, including specific requirements such as heat or moisture resistance, low-VOC, non-allergenic qualities or flexibility.

A range of high-performance hybrid polymer adhesives is also available and each TREMCO adhesive has been developed to support the longevity of the floor in installation.

The bigger picture
Whichever TREMCO system is selected, there is the assurance of new benefits and features associated with the brand, as part of its move to Construction Products Group.

RPM International Inc, one of the global leaders in speciality construction products, introduced a new identity for its regional construction division in Europe, under the Construction Products Group (CPG) name.

Its portfolio of leading construction product brands including Tremco, as well as Flowcrete, illbruck, Vandex, Nudura, Dryvit and Nullifire, were all placed under the CPG portfolio in June.

The move brings high-performance building materials – including flooring, waterproofing solutions, as well as sealing, bonding, insulation and fire protection systems – all together under a single source for specifiers and contractors.

And it’s not just about products. TREMCO, Flowcrete, and ultimately all CPG customers, now have access to enhanced resources with an international perspective, including greater technical support from industry experts, new product development opportunities and access to pioneering technologies.

This includes a more streamlined service, logistics improvements and a greater environmental and sustainability focus – as well as testing methods that are second to none.

Full training, including CPDs, application training (both practical and theory) and on-site support such as surveys, complete the service package for both specifiers and contractors.

In the spotlight
Earlier this year, the level of training, support, high-performance products, and exceptional technical advice available to contractors and specifiers using CPG’s TREMCO and world-renowned Flowcrete flooring brands went under the spotlight at CFJ Live.

The CPG team put together a packed agenda, showcasing the scope and scale of the business in the UK and bringing to life the unique attributes of products across its brand portfolio.

The online audience gained insight into the latest product technologies, including the new Isocrete Flowing K Screed system from Flowcrete, which has made an immediate impact in the marketplace this year with its combination of strong, fast-drying, self-levelling, coupled with low shrinkage properties.

Visitors to the CPG UK stand also learnt more about TREMCO’s heritage in creating innovative flooring solutions, with the team carrying out a deep-dive into its systems, discussing early developments as the founders of damp proof membranes, through to introducing advanced technology such as the SX600 High Performance Rapid Set Smoothing Compound.

Guests interacted in the event and had all their questions answered during the team’s ‘Can you afford not to TREMCO?’ presentation.

David Black, sales director for CPG UK’s Flooring division, said: ‘CFJ Live offered a great platform to showcase the products in our range and set out the performance, quality and value that makes them so strong in the marketplace.

‘We were able to introduce key members of our team who lead our sales and technical support across contractor, distributor and specifier networks and it was a great opportunity to demonstrate the wealth of experience they have in the flooring industry and highlight the importance they place on collaborating with our customers.

‘We also previewed our approved partner scheme, discussing our fully trained and monitored network of approved installers who are experts in what they do and in how to apply our products correctly.

‘We work very closely with our partners to make sure we offer consistently high standards of both workmanship and customer service that the industry demands.’

Investing in the UK flooring market
CPG is committed to a significant investment in the UK, which includes a £20 million package to create new Tremco and Flowcrete floor screed manufacturing facilities in Wigan, as well as a multi-million pound state-of-the-art distribution centre in Leicester and a training centre in Cheshire.

Work at its Wigan site has included new facilities for the manufacture of TREMCO products, as well as a new screed plant, where the production of Flowcrete floor screeds is doubling in capacity.

This project follows on from the first stage of CPG’s brand regeneration scheme in the UK, which centred on the creation of a multi-million pound state-of-the-art distribution centre in Leicester.

The CPG Academy, a centre of excellence for practical and virtual training is also being developed in Cheshire to create a new environment for specifiers, contractors, and tradesmen to learn the latest not only in performance flooring, but also joint sealing, bonding & insulation, passive fire protection and waterproofing solutions.

The move is part of CPG’s focus on enhancing its training in both a face-to-face environment at The CPG Academy, as well as virtually.

This is supported by the delivery of its RIBA-approved CPDs as well as the popular Coffee Chat initiative, which broadens discussions on key industry topics.

‘For more than 75 years, TREMCO has been the UK’s preferred choice for flooring solutions, providing professionals with fully compatible systems, and remaining innovative and ecological.

‘Ultimately, TREMCO stands for lasting performance, with the quality of our products and the provision of superior technical support the result of nine decades of market experience, centred on an innovative vision of the future.

‘The requirements from the marketplace are ever more exacting, in areas including quality, performance and sustainability.

‘From our early days as the pioneer of DPMs through to the present day, we’ve continued to innovate and invest in our people and products to ensure the trade and specifiers can rely on us to provide the right solution for their projects now and in the future.’
