Modern bathrooms gather together practicality, functionality, and the attention to energy saving, while simultaneously aiming at design solutions with sober and elegant lines.
In today’s bathrooms, the shower is definitely one of the main design ingredients, and a flush-to-floor shower is widely preferred because of its user convenience and easily customisable design.
Proshower System is the exclusive flush water collecting system patented by Progress Profiles. This system combines flexibility, functionality, and elegant design to deliver a comfortable and refined shower.
The Proshower System comprises several elements. The complete kit comprises the waterproofing Profoil Membrane, the isolating pre-sloped shower pan, different shower channels, and a series of profiles to finish the outer edges of the shower tray and securely hold the shower glass.
The Proshower System Kit is available in two different versions – Linear or Central – and comprises all the elements required to create a perfect floor-level shower.
The stainless steel Proshower Base L Drain shower channel, or the Base Basic one in polypropylene, is available in different lengths. It comes with two shower channels equipped with 360° adjustable drain and removable head flanges for connecting two or more channels. These are optimal for showers featuring a lateral drain.
To customise the base, it is possible to cover the shower tray with five different finish grids. If a monolithic aesthetic is required, cover the tray with the same tiles that are used on the floor.
In addition, if the installation requires a shower with a central tray, the specific Proshower System Kit will contain one of the two channels, Proshower Drain Vertical or Drain Lateral and a 100 by 100mm stainless steel grid.
Electrical UFH system
To ensure more comfort, Prodeso Heat Grip XL System is the revolutionary electrical heating system for floors and coverings that in a few minutes provides warmth only where desired; it is a cost effective, time, and energy saving solution.
The polypropylene membrane, with uncoupling, waterproofing and vapour management features, has an 8 mm thickness and is provided with a non-woven thermowelded polypropylene fabric on the back side. The new membrane’s design suits any floor or existing surface, optimizing its performances; its new structure allows a perfect fixing of the heating cable and a crack-bridging ability five-times more than the previous systems. Moreover, the rounded square shaped reliefs are provided with truncated almost square based pyramid cavities that transfer the loads from flooring to the support. The reliefs are designed to easily hold the Prodeso Heat Grip Cable only where required. The heating cable, with its new 6.5 mm diameter, is provided with many electrical resistors connected in parallel. In case of cable damage, only the involved resistor stops, not interrupting the heating transmission of the entire system.
Simple shelving options
A modern and functional bathroom is made up of technological systems, but furniture can also transform the atmosphere.
For this reason Progress Profiles realized Proshelf and Proshelf Design, triangular or rectangular shelves designed as comfortable and spacious supports for bathroom products.
Made of stainless steel, Proshelf can be tiled and can be mounted during the installation of the covering for a result of perfect continuity; the very thin profile of the second model, on the other hand, enhances its minimalist and contemporary design.
Another useful item in Progress Profiles’ portfolio is Proheater: the new and patented heated towel rail covered with a low-thickness ceramic that ensures absolute warmth and comfort, furnishing every room at the same time. This system is equipped with a latest generation programmable thermostat: thanks to the remote connection, it is possible to start the heating system even from a distance, so as to find the warm spaces when returning home.
Multi-function membranes
Humidity, water infiltrations and inadequate drainage can cause serious damages to external surfaces, which are constantly exposed to rainfalls and weather. For this reason, it is highly recommended to carry out perfect laying work to ensure the structures’ suitability.
Thanks to great researches on the best materials and to the knowledge of professionals, the Italian company produces many functional membranes perfect to suit any request: among these Prodeso Eco Stick Membrane is an uncoupling and waterproofing membrane, with a thickness of 4 mm that guarantees the laying of any flooring and the waterproofing of internal environments even in case of cracked and moisture sensitive substrates. The membrane is realized in high density polyethylene provided with a grid structure of square dovetail-shaped cavities. On the back of the membrane a layer of PSA adhesive is applied to ensure its fixing to the support. It can be installed on old ceramic flooring and natural stones anchored to the support and on smooth concrete. Prodeso Eco Stick Membrane is very resistant to saline solutions, acids and alkalis, alcohol and oils.
Super-slim vapour management
One of the newest solutions designed and patented by Progress Profiles is the multi-functional Prodeso Drain: a waterproof, draining, uncoupling membrane that allows vapour management, with a thickness of only 5mm.
Technologically advanced, under the sign of versatility, simplicity, speed and efficiency of installation, Prodeso Drain System is particularly suitable for large sizes (XXL) tiles laying in all indoor and outdoor environments, even in humid areas such as SPA or indoor pools.
The membrane is composed of a high-density polyethylene sheet to which a draining layer is thermo-welded at the top; a non-woven polypropylene fabric is glued to the bottom.
The reliefs of the polyethylene sheet create an “air chamber” under the tiles which favours the movement of the air helping a micro ventilation which allows the drainage and rapid drying of the adhesive preventing the spillage and the ascent of triacetates and the formation of efflorescence in the joints.
Thanks to its structure, Prodeso Drain Membrane can also be applied on substrates that are not perfectly cured, on old tiles or Plywood/OSB. Using the Prodeso Drain System, the installation time is considerably reduced; the system, indeed, allows working without any interruption from the laying of the membrane up to the end.
A full package of accessories have been carefully studied and added for a perfect laying system.
Progress Profiles presents once again an innovative product that matches high functionality and maximum versatility, thus facilitating installers’ work and guaranteeing always perfect and long-lasting results.
Floating floor options
Comfortable bathrooms, many profiles, multifunctional membranes: among the different 18 systems developed, great attention is also paid to the realization and laying of floors.
Prosupport Tube System and Prosupport Slim System for example are the two new solutions that ensure a practical, steady and perfect realization of any kind of floating floors – screeds, smoothed concrete, wooden floors and old floors -, with 10 to 1000 mm heights, making sure to save working time and guaranteeing long-lasting results.
Prosupport Tube System is an adjustable support system in polypropylene (PP) for the realization of outdoor floating floors, from a minimum height of 29 mm to a maximum of 1000 mm. It can be used on any kind of flooring: screeds, smoothed concrete, wooden floors and old floors. Prosupport Tube System is composed of 7 elements only, ensuring an easy and practical installation.
To install flooring with heights from 74 to 1000 mm, it is recommended to insert the pipe of the desired height into the base, push it all the way and insert the ring; then, the screws have to be screwed on the base according to the desired support (they can be screwed on the base with the hollow side upwards to have self-levelling heads up to 5% slope; if it is screwed upside down, the heads are fixed). After these working phases, the floor has to be laid on the heads.
To realize an outdoor floor that heights from 10 to 30 mm, Prosupport Slim System is composed by two 10 mm heights’ bases, and four levellers of 10 mm thickness, anti-noise and anti-slip, which can all be overlapped.
Matching these two systems, Progress Profiles also patented an additional modular system, Prorail System, which guarantees a steady and resistant substructure providing the installer all the necessary elements for an installation.
It consists of two aluminium joists (Prorail and Prorail Ret), Prorail Ring, two cross spacers with removable flaps (Prorail Spacer) and one anti-noise and anti-slip rubber (Prorail Rubber).
